The first exception exempts from liability the owner or keeper of a dog who does damage to a person who was committing a trespass or other tort. The second exception applies if you find that the person bringing a claim for injuries was teasing, tormenting, or abusing the dog. So the facts which a party must prove to be successful when bringing a dog bite claim are 1) that the defendant was the owner or keeper of a dog, 2) that the dog did damage to the body or property of the plaintiff, and 3) that nether of the two exceptions applies.
